Joe Giustozzi is the Republican challenger for House District 14 in the Wyoming House of Representatives. He is running for this House seat because he believes Laramie Valley residents deserve the integrity, compassion, and dedication that he will bring to the Legislature. It is his goal to visit as many of the people living in House District 14 as he can and to listen and learn about the problems people are facing. And together, he wants to work with the people to develop positive solutions to these problems.
Joe was born in New York, raised in a Catholic family by immigrant parents, and educated in the public school system. His father, who died at home with the family at the age of 101, spent four years in an Army Infantry Division during World War II … two of those years in combat in the Pacific. Joe clearly remembers as a child sitting on a curb in New York City watching Memorial Day parades with thousands and thousands of WWII veterans marching proudly under American flags. When Joe looks around today, he hardly recognizes his country. However, he can still recognize the great and patriotic state of Wyoming.
For people who have never lived on the east or west coasts, it’s difficult to explain how expensive and burdensome it is to live there … and add to that the upside-down nature of day-to-day life where right has become wrong and wrong has become right, and life becomes quite unfamiliar.
Joe and his family left Connecticut and the east coast and moved here to Wyoming four years ago to escape the high taxes, the high cost of living in general, and to escape the liberal mindset and the oppressive local and state government that permeates everything back east. Having driven with his parents and sister through Wyoming several times in the early 1960’s, before Interstate 80 was even built, he was impressed with its natural beauty at an early age. After much research, it became clear to him that Wyoming would protect its citizens from Federal and State overreach better than any other state in the nation. He believes that it’s now time for him to do his part to ensure that the protection continues, is strengthened, and that the government of Wyoming remains responsive to the will of its citizens from whom they derive their authority to govern.
Joe’s training in college was in the fields of engineering and mathematics. Most of his professional career was spent working on numerous military and commercial aircraft programs. He is an entrepreneur and has started several small and successful engineering and software companies. He understands first-hand how difficult it is to start a small business and nurture it with long hours into a successful one. He also understands that small businesses are the heart of our nation’s economy and must be protected … especially from Federal overreach that has already inflicted much damage with their Covid lockdowns, forcing a substantial percentage of them to close their doors for good.
Again, Joe is here to listen and learn about the problems that Laramie Valley residents are facing. In summary, he will strive, by all honorable means available, and to the limits of his energies and abilities, to help in bringing about solutions to the people’s needs according to their guidance. In closing, Joe Giustozzi is the Republican Challenger for House District 14 … and he would greatly appreciate your vote. Thank you!
